The year 1931 in the life of Frank
Wykoff was filled with diversity as he tutored actor, Joe. E. Brown,
sprinting secrets and doubles in racing scenes as Joe E. in the movie
"Local Boy Makes Good." He also attended an Olympic Fund raiser at
$100 a plate during The Great Depression.
Frank's exhilaration of the year was
in both vanquishing Percy Williams at a Pre-Olympic track & field
meet, and in placing first at a A.A.U. National Championship race
against Eddie Tolan, Emmett Toppino, and Ralph Metcalfe.
