Highlights In a Day of Thrills

At the Southwestern Olympic Finals

"(1) Victor and vanquished -- Wykoff, the kid, being congratulated by Paddock, the veteran, over the former's victory in the 100-meter dash in which Wykoff equaled the Olympic record of 10 6-10s.  (2) The finish of the 200-meter dash.  Wykoff beating Paddock by a yard and a half and equaling the latter's own world record of 20 8-10s..."
