"All runners are displaying fine form. Note the open hand of Parsons.
This tends to over- come tenseness and shows a realization of his tensed
shoulders and a desire to correct the fault."

"Note the fine body angle of all runners, and
particularly the good head position of Metcalfe. Both Wykoff and Parsons show a
tendency to advance their heads slightly ahead of their body line which is a
fault."

"All of the runners have their eyes focused
farther down the track. Their eyes should raise only as the body
raises to the normal sprinting angle."

"Wykoff's arm action is in advance of the other two runners. Note the
position of the hips and the body relaxation of both Metcalfe and Wykoff.
Parsons is still too tight in his shoulder muscles."

"Three fine pictures of good sprinting form. Note how beautifully all
knees are coming forward, foreleg parallel to the ground, excellent body angle,
nice lift on the back toes, good arm action, eyes focused straight ahead and
knees in. Parsons has fine knee action and is beginning to stretch out. Note the
action of Parsons' right leg giving fast, quick drive, the right angle of his
left leg conserving motion and his fine arm drive. Because he is the lighter
man, it is possible for him to get into full stride quicker."
