Declaring he is abdicating his
throne as the world's fastest human to devote his efforts to
becoming the world's best husband, Frank Wykoff, sprint star,
was married last night to his high school sweetheart, Miss Ethel
Mae Richardson.

The ceremony took place at 8 p.m.
at the Central Christian Church, Glendale. More than 800
persons who filled the church to capacity appeared to see the
suburban city's favorite son take the wedding vows.
Making it plain that his racing
days are over, Wykoff explained that he is now going about the
more serious business of providing for his wife, and that as
soon as their honeymoon is over he will join the faculty of the
Moran School for Boys at Atascadero, where he will coach in
football and track.
Wykoff, who is 23 years of age ,
has been residing in Glendale at 617 Portola street. His
bride, on year younger, had been making her home at 1600 East
Rock Glen, Glendale. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Wade Richardson. |
